Saskia Fohs
Saskia holds a Master’s degree from the Mind, Brain, and Behavior program at JLU. She is a PhD student in the VCCN Lab, where her research focuses on how we maintain and manipulate information for current tasks. To this end, she uses naturalistic paradigms (e.g., dynamic occlusions), EEG, decoding and RSA approaches, along with image- and task-specific deep neural networks to model working memory and understand why and how we keep and use certain information. During her Bachelor’s and Master’s she focused on visual biases in working memory and how task-context can be used as a window to their functionality.
In her free time, Saskia is mostly out hiking, lifting heavy circles, and filling her “real-life Pokédex” with any wildlife that crosses paths with her and her camera.
