Leonard van Dyck

PhD student

Lenny is a second-year PhD student co-supervised by Martin Hebart. Before joining the lab, he received his MSc in Psychology with a specialization in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Salzburg. His research explores how the brain transforms sensory input into meaningful representations, with a focus on functional areas that carry out specialized computations to support this process. Using a combination of neuroimaging and computational modeling, he aims to uncover the fundamental organizing principles of visual processing. In his free time, Lenny enjoys hiking in the mountains and traveling the world in a campervan.
